At Central Valley, chronic absenteeism has fallen 37% over the 5-year window — from 1.9% in 2017 to 1.2% in 2020. Despite that, the gap vs US average of ~28% has actually widened — from 26.1% below in 2017 to 26.8% below in 2020.
