At Santa Clara County Special Education, chronic absenteeism has been essentially flat over the 5-year window — from 0.0% in 2017 to 52.3% in 2024. The gap vs US average of ~28% has narrowed — from 28.0% above in 2017 to 24.3% above in 2024.
